Support Covalen Workers

Covalen, a subsidiary of CPL, provides content moderation and AI training services for Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

Despite playing a critical role in maintaining the safety and integrity of these platforms, Covalen workers face challenging conditions, including exposure to traumatic content, concerns around mental health supports, job insecurity, and visa insecurity for many migrant workers.

Covalen workers who are members of the Digital and Techworker Alliance (DATA CWU) have campaigned for recognition, respect and security at work. The campaign has highlighted concerns around redundancies, the treatment of affected workers, and the lack of meaningful engagement with employee representatives. For many migrant workers, redundancy can also mean losing the visa that allows them to remain and work in Ireland.

Through strikes, demonstrations and engagement with public representatives, workers are calling for fair treatment, stronger workplace protections, and recognition of the vital role they play in the digital economy.

The Digital and Techworker Alliance (DATA CWU) stands in solidarity with Covalen workers and continues to support their campaign for recognition, respect and security.
